York just one of those guys everybody liked. He had a quick wit and dry sense of humor.

I got my first car and had learned some basic stuff in auto shop,, got a littlle over confident about my abilities and got stuck after taking the motor out. York came over one day, said he would help, we towed it to his house. In no time I had my wheels back on the street. He was a car guy through and through.

York and I both had girlfriends in Hidden Hills. Mine got grounded from seeing me during the week. So I would hide in the back seat of his car and we all would meet at his girl firends house. We cruised Van Nuys Bob's, went to the beach in the summer and lived the SOCAL Dream.

Like the song, Those were the days my friend, I wished they'd never end. The memories haven't and alot of the great memories are of things we did.

Goodbye my friend - RIP,

John

I  just returned home from a trip to California. Dan Ford and I met up and we decided to go on a tour of our old neighborhoods and hang outs. One place we decided we had to find was York's house. The area where we all lived has changed, my house is gone. It took a bit of searching but after recognizing a slight change to the house, we found it. We sat there remembering what a great guy he was and how much fun we all had.

RIP My Friend,

John
