Robert (Bob) Sanders Treggett

Age 64, went home to be with the Lord on 8/23/2008, surrounded by his family and friends at Northwest Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Bob fought a long and courageous battle with Mesothelioma lung cancer surviving just one month shy of 5 years.

In 1944, Bob's life began in Hartford, CT, as the second child of Mary Virginis Sanders Treggett and Errrol George Treggett. At the age of 2, he relocated with his family to Bellevue, WA, where he spent the majority of his early school years. He relocated to Southern CA in the 1960's where he graduated in 1962 from Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA. During his college years at San Luis Obispo he was in the ROTC program which prepared him for his future in the US Navy. Bob was in the Navy a total of 7 years and served on the USS John Marshall (SSBN 611) from 1968 to 1972. Later he joined USSVI Seattle Base in 2005 as a life member.

During a mission to Tanzania in 2002, Bob discovered a real need for leadership training by the pastors. Returning home, he enrolled in Northwest University in Kirkland, WA and despite one year away for cancer treatments, completed his Bachelor's degree in Ministry Leadership (graduating with honors) in 2006. Bob then went on to participate in international Christian Leadership conferences. He's been to South Africa, Kenya, Colombia, and Argentina.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter by Patricia Treggett, Cynthia Ward (Dennis), granddaughters Brittany and Riley; his mother, Mary Virginia Kohler; his brother Scot (Nancy) their daughters and spouses; his sister Terry (Mike) and her sons. Bob also leaves behind Linda's daughter Christi Dresda (Italo), and grandchildren Bella, Mia and Rocco Dresda, and Christopher Bower.

A memorial service will be held at Overlake Christian Church, 9900 Willows Road NE, Redmond, WA, on Saturday, Sept 27 at 1:00 PM, a reception to follow. PLease wear Hawaiian clothing, as Bob often did, in celebration of his life.
