The following sad news has been received from Steve Bruttig, and also from Mike Bellamy's wife, Linda, to Linda Larson Ashley and Fred Austin on Facebook:
Mike Bellamy is deceased. He was born on 1 July 1944 and passed away peacefully on 29 April 2022 at the age of 78. He was a resident of Creswell, Oregon. He was a Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife, Linda and family members.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Mike Bellamy. I knew Mike at Taft and we were friends there. RIP.

I went throught Our Lady of Grace with Mike. He was a character and a wonderful guy. Later in life I worked for his father who was also a great guy.

Mike Bellamy was my oldest friend. We lived across the street from each other from the time we were 7 years old, and Shirley Ave was a dirt road. Mike was in the Navy. He was a Corpsman assigned to the Marines. He was wounded in Vietnam. When he got out of the Navy he stayed in the medical profession until he retired. He was an avid motorcycle rider. We remained close friends throughout our lives. I visited him a few days before his death. He was still game, still sharp. We had to many adventures to recount here.
