Cole, Paula Kelly Dickinson May 11, 1944 - April 26, 2012 Paula Jr. passed away peacefully at U.C.L.A. in the presence of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Holly Cole, and her sister Juliann Dickinson Lancaster and other relatives. Paula Jr.'s parents were Paula Kelly Sr. and Hal Dickinson who founded the vocal group "The Modernaires" in the 1930's. TheMods have performed worldwide for over 70 years. Paula Jr.sang with the Mods from 1966 through 1971 learning the lead part from her mother. Previously, Paula Jr. performed many times with her two sisters, Martha and Juliann, in a trio called "The Kelly Sisters" making recordings and appearing on television shows. Paula Jr. and ex-husband Michael Cole (TV's Mod Squad) welcomed daughter Jennifer in 1972. She will certainly be missed by her family and the big band music world. A celebration of life is planned in the near future by Jennifer and Juliann.
