DAVID CRESS

South Jordan UT

David Cress "The World's Greatest Dad." Our sweet Dad went to Heaven on November 28th, 2010. The world will never be the same. Dad, you gave your heart to us every second of every day. You loved all of us with every morsel of your soul. It was a privilege to watch you dote on Mama, and it was, and always will be, an honor to be your daughters. You are the Dad that fairy tales are written about. The one that is always there, always loving us, supporting us, guiding us, and spoiling us rotten. We are so grateful, Dad. Words can never describe how much we miss you. But Dad, we know you are with Mama now, holding hands, cheering us on from the bleachers in the clouds. Thank you Dad for simply being you. The greatest Dad there ever was, a knight in shining armor to Mama, a friend to all, and always a proud Marine. We sure love you, Daddy. Love, your daughters, Missy and Christie. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday December 9, 2010, from 6:00 -6:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service following at 6:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4700 So. State Street. David and I went to Woodlake Elementary School.  My dad coached him in Little League - I think he may have been a pitcher, but I'm not sure, and all of us had a special place in our hearts for him.  Dad said he was a pleasure to coach, and I remember being drawn to this gentle kid.  I remember the house he lived in, right across from the school, and when we went back to visit my mom, I would always remember him when we drove through those streets.   It makes me happy to hear that he grew up to be a good man.
