Elizabeth Ann Lee of Saratoga Springs, UT, passed away at the age of 69 on October 22nd at 9:45 p.m. in Woodland Hills, CA.

Elizabeth was born September 23, 1944, in Grand Island, NE to the late Harold T. Lindsey and Norma Elaine Horst. At an early age, her family moved to the Topanga Canyon area of California where she was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of 9. She was an honors student and graduated with a degree in English from Brigham Young University in May of 1966. In 1968 Elizabeth met and married John Carney. They moved to Simi Valley, CA and had two daughters and two sons. After her divorce, Elizabeth attended California State University, Northridge where she received a degree in Business Administration/Information Technology. In March, 1999, she married Laurence Lee and moved to Chatsworth, CA.

After retiring, Elizabeth moved to Saratoga Springs, UT and lived there from 2010 to the present. She often commuted to Chatsworth to spend time with Larry, who was planning to join her in Utah as soon as he was able to. Diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer which had metastasized to her brain in July of this year, Elizabeth stayed with Larry in Chatsworth who cared for her during her treatment. As optimistic as Elizabeth was, she lost her battle and passed away peacefully with her son Spencer by her side. F

rom being a wife, a mother of four, going to school part-time, and responding to the many callings of her church, Elizabeth was sometimes referred to as "Busy Lizzy" for her amazing ability to multi-task. She played piano and organ at her church and taught piano lessons. She sang in the choir. She was a pro at Freecell. A lot of her free time was spent researching Genealogy, filling in the blanks in the branches of her family tree. She collected Kachina dolls that she proudly displayed in her home. She took up country dancing in her 40s, competing regionally with her dance team. She was a Trekker who loved her "kitties" and liked pho before it was cool. Through her grandson Tyler, she became a fan of zombie films. She was a kind woman who lived by the Golden Rule.

She is survived by four children: Erin Stocking, of Saratoga Springs, UT; Adrienne Carney, of Newhall, CA; Loren Carney, of Peoria, AZ, and Spencer Carney, of Los Angeles CA.

She is also survived by her five grandkids, Tyler Jacobs, Avery Stocking, Mitchell Hancock, Charles Hancock, and Lorna Hancock.

We will honor the memory of Elizabeth Ann Lee on Saturday, October 26 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chatsworth, CA located at 10123 Oakdale Ave. Her viewing will be at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the family owned and operated Rose Family Funeral Home and Cremation of Simi Valley.
