Hugh and I were friends at Taft, and shared an interest in chemistry, if memory serves. I lived some 20 years in Houston (working as a geophysicist in the oil industry), but never knew that Hugh was in the area.

Hugh and I were very good friends at Taft, and shared an interest in many "weighty subjects" (although for me, chemistry was not aong them!) and especailly a hatred of PE. We would do almost anything to get out of having to particpate .. so we could sit on the sidelines and talk about "things that mattered" more to us ... (even though the PE undoubtedly would have done us some good!).
I was pleased to larn more of Hugh's life after Taft, but sorry to learn of his untimely passing.
