My father a well known man. He grew up with Cheech Marin. He wrote poetry and done paintings of fine art. My father played football there at Taft High and made newspaper articles. My father always loved the ocean and he loved to surf. This was his peace away from peace. What does he think when the ocean carried him on his board through the waves and tides.
I did not know my father that well. My father was shot and killed in Hawaii in 1983. I was 7 at the time. No need for grieve in which he would not want. He would want his memory to live on especially with the classmates that he loved so much.
I have heard many great stories about Taft High that my grandmother would tell me. My father was known as BIG MIKE.
My father has 2 sons 1 in which resides in Santa Cruz California which he his 45 yrs. And of course myself I am 35 and reside in Evansville Indiana. I know long way from California long story.
