William I. Galbreath 76, of Pendleton died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his home. He was born March 17, 1944 in Los Angeles, California.

I remember Bill as a very gentle big guy. Yes, he played football, and yes, he got the job done, but the aggressiveness of the gridiron disappeared once the game ended, at least as I knew him. He was a no nonsense guy from an agribusiness family and a real gentleman. We were not close friends but I was an admirer. He will be missed greatly.
