Richard J. Phillips, Jr.
Richard J. Phillips Jr., age 65 of Alliance, [Ohio] passed away at 1:36 p.m. Sunday July 4, 2010 at Alliance Community Hospital.
He was born August 4, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Richard J. and Marjorie E. (Bowles) Phillips.
Rick worked as an Accountant and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Karen M. (Mudrick) Phillips, whom he married Sept. 19, 2001; his father, Richard (Joyce) Phillips of CA; children David Phillips, Brenda Phillips and Nanci Phillips, all of CA; Melissa Brown of Las Vegas and Pete Todd of Alliance; brother Steve Phillips, sister Nancy Phillips Brown, both of CA; grandchildren, Allie, Shane, Kurt, Brooke, Stephanie, Jackie, Skyler and Stephen; and great-granddaughter, Ariana.
A private family service will be held.

Rick was a great guy -- full of life! I didn't know him real well until near our graduation. We spent much time together that early summer. If I remember correctly, he had an Austin Healy convertible that he loved driving.
I didn't realize he was gone. Though I have not seen him since just after graduation, I have great memories of him. I'll miss him.
